And now for the cons - not all hotels have their own beach and direct access to the sea. To get from our hotel, for example, you had to cross a rather busy road. But there are no pedestrian crossings and traffic lights, I had to cross the road with dashes.
This place will not be liked by those who like to stroll around the evening city, as you will have to go to all the entertainment, cafes, restaurants, concerts and shops (by bus or taxi). For us, this turned out to be the biggest drawback on that first trip. Because of this, for the first time we have visited few places, and there are plenty of interesting places in the center of Sanya.
Therefore, I highly recommend choosing a hotel in the bay, which is as close as possible to the central part of the city. We’ll talk about her now.
2. Yes Dong Hai
This is the busiest part of the city: cafes, restaurants, markets, shopping centers - just a stone's throw away. Here life is in full swing.
Hotels in this part of the city are not so sweeping, built quite densely and stretch high: if hotels in Sanya Bay have large territories, then the hotel may not have its own park or pool. But I don’t see a big problem, since it’s literally 5 minutes to go to the sea.
The beach here is sandy, but in some places at the entrance you have to step over clusters of pebbles, which hits the legs during the waves. The coast can be different: both gentle and not very. I recommend swimming in areas that are surrounded by buoys - there is a good entry into the sea.
There are much more people here (but there is no crush, you can always find a place), this inevitably leads to its clogging. But, we must pay tribute to the Chinese, they constantly clean and clean it, so it's nice to be on it.
This beach is equipped with everything necessary: \u200b\u200bchaise lounges with soft seats - 25 yuan, there are left-luggage offices - from 15 yuan, free toilets. Along the entire beach there are cafes and small restaurants.

A big minus of this beach: when a typhoon approaches, which happens during the rainy season, this beach can be closed. Close in the literal sense of the word, that is, to expel everyone from it and block it. When we closed the beach for 4 days.
For some reason, the biggest waves appear in this bay. The Chinese are reinsured, and our sad tourists walk around the beach and count the remaining days of vacation.
But in fact, you should not be sad, but it is best to go to other bays. Either to the closest Sanya Bay, which we talked about above, or to the incomparable Yalong Bay (be sure to read the article on transport to Hainan and what the rainy season to Hainan is like).
3. Yalong Bay
Yalong Bay is called 5 star bay. The high cost of these places is felt as soon as you get out of the bus: beautiful lawns, very clean, ideal roads.
Only the top rated hotels with the highest ratings are located here. They are even more sweeping than in the very first beach of Sanya Bay. Huge parks, pools and the like.
I liked this beach more than anyone else: very clean, a lot of sand, free umbrellas, a gentle beach. It does not rise too large waves, so the beach is open even when the neighboring Da Dong Hai is closed.
A huge number of beach activities for every taste. True, long lines stretch toward them.
There are many people, but there is enough space for everyone. Very nice beach.
And now for the downsides: from Da Dong Hai Bay, the road will take about 40 minutes by bus. In the evening, the last bus leaves at 5-30 or even earlier (the exact time can be seen at the bus stop). After that, back only by taxi.
It is quite quiet and calm on the streets, cafes are concentrated in small shopping centers.
