MOSCOW, September 29. / TASS /. The number of people injured in an accident with a passenger bus overturned near the Kerch ferry in Crimea reached 15 people. This was reported to TASS by the deputy head of the city of Dilyaver Melgaziev.

"15 people were taken to the first hospital. One woman was taken to the operating room, four people - fractures of the ribs, bruises. The rest are examined, taken pictures and everything else," he said.

According to him, there were children on the bus, they were also hospitalized.

Rescuers came to the aid of passengers, who took people out of the bus.

The regional ministry of health reports 10 injured, of which eight are in serious condition.

The cause of the bus accident was the explosion of the wheel, spokeswoman for ANO United Transport Directorate Elena Loseva told TASS.

“A bus exploded in a bus that got into an accident near the Kerch crossing,” she said.

According to her, there were 50 people on the bus, eight of them were hospitalized. "All of them were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. All passengers were insured, and they will receive insurance compensation for the insured event. The size of the insurance payment will depend on the severity of the injury," she said.
