  • Is there internet in the house;
  • Does the list of mandatory items include furniture, dishes, refrigerator, air conditioner, cooler with drinking water? If something is missing, then you can ask the owner of the house for an item;
  • Air conditioners must be installed in every room;
  • There should be a set of extra bed linen and bath towels in the closet;

In case of medical assistance, one should go to large city clinics. Before traveling to the island, it is worth making an insurance premium, which will allow you to receive treatment in Bali for free.

For a long time I have been asked to write something about the island of Bali, but I am not writing anything. Somehow it’s not written and that’s all, then there is no mood, then there is no inspiration, then there’s time, but when all this is there, then we go somewhere, we look at something, we go somewhere. We have already traveled a considerable part of the island, although we still cannot visit many interesting places. Traveling with a child is becoming more and more difficult. He often cries, is capricious and mischievous. I do not know why he behaves this way, but we are even beginning to think about staying at home next year. We come to the zoo - he ignores the animals, we come to the beach - we refuse to swim, we come to the temple - he is capricious and tries to trample on the gifts, we come to the store - he smashes everything there and runs, we come to the playroom - he hits the children ... But for the first six months he never even cried, where did this angel go? 🙂

But I was distracted. Now I'll tell you about our impressions and show some new photos. I read that many people have a much worse first impression of Bali than after 2-3 weeks. But our first impression was so terrible that I wanted to leave as quickly as possible, we seriously thought about moving to the island of Lombok or to another country. But we decided that once we arrived, we should at least try to find something good on this island. I no longer hoped that I might like it here, but I was wrong. It took 2-3 weeks and we decided to stay for 2 months until the end of the visa. This is how it happens 🙂

First we settled in Sanur - this tourist town on many resources is called one of the best places for a relaxing family holiday. But it was so terrible that I was afraid to imagine what was going on in the noisier and more popular places with tourists. We didn’t like everything: houses, Balinese people, food, traffic, beach, sea, traffic jams .. After six months in Thailand, everything seemed like crazy chaos, no hint of the promised paradise and peace. And especially annoying was the attitude towards us, like in an ATM and constant attempts to dissolve for money. This despite the fact that we are sufficiently tanned and do not look like fresh meat and we are always with a child. By the way, before leaving, I read enough and found out about Bali, and I seemed to be ready for anything, but much turned out to be much worse and sadder than I imagined. In more touristy places like Kuta or Nusa Dua, there is even less tranquility. I understood that it is best to settle somewhere in Ubud or other cute villages, but we needed to have a beach nearby for walking and swimming with a child, a good supermarket, a good clinic and an indoor playground, so that the child could throw out his energy and in the rain and in the heat. On all these points, only Sanur was completely suitable for us, that's why we tried to find housing there .. unsuccessfully, although we didn't try much, since we didn't like anything and there was no mood.

Everything changed after we moved to a quieter place, to the village of Batubulan, where there are few tourists and many ordinary Balinese, who even if they want to get money from you, they do it somehow kindly, naively and even nicely 🙂 Almost everyone smiles for real and always helps. Well, after we took a car and explored the surroundings, we began to fall in love with this island more and more every day. The real Bali turned out to be fabulously beautiful, unusually calm, very religious, harmonious, without white people and without constant thoughts of money. These are the very places where villages and temples are located among rice plantations and incredibly beautiful nature. Places where people wear national clothes, pray a lot, make offerings to the gods and where peace and tranquility reign. It is difficult to describe or show in the photo, it must be seen and felt. The only problem is that our child does not want peace and creativity at all. Give him some action. Therefore, we almost never succeed in completely relaxing.

So Bali is too big an island to be judged in a few days. If you come to a tourist area, live in a hotel and go on a couple of excursions, then most likely you have hardly seen Bali. And I wouldn't be surprised if you're disappointed and didn't like anything. But on the island of Bali there are many fabulously beautiful places and an unusual culture, everyone should visit here at least once in their life. Bali has narrow roads, chaotic traffic and a lot of traffic jams. In Bali, it is not so easy with a child as it seems: heat, insects and reptiles, unusual food, lack of walking paths and playgrounds, low sanitary control in most public places .. You should not go here for a beach holiday, as Were few beaches suitable for calm swimming. In addition, Bali is a great place to hang out and surf. But in the interior of the island it is so wonderful that I think we will come back here again someday.

And now I'll show you some new photos. We saw a lot of beautiful and unusual things here, but we don't always have a camera with us, and the kid rarely agrees to wait until we admire something or take a photo. But all the less I managed to take a picture of something beautiful.

We spend a lot of time outdoors:

But there are few good beaches, so far we only liked White Sand Beach, although we are not very interested in beaches here:

Most of the beaches in Bali have big and dangerous waves or black sand. The few beaches with normal light sand and no waves are very artificial and often crowded.

There are also active volcanoes in Bali. While with the baby we have mastered only one. closest to us 🙂

The island's culture gives it a special charm. National costumes are beautiful:

Balinese people are very religious people, well, very, very, they pray a lot, there are thousands of temples and statues, many religious holidays and ceremonies, and local residents make offerings to gods, spirits, ancestors several times a day, and it is simply impossible to briefly talk about this. It looks very nice and unusual.

Well, in conclusion, I'll tease you with a delicious plate. True, the choice, prices and quality of fruits in Bali are much worse than in Thailand. But still there is something to feast on 🙂

This is how it is, the island of Bali 🙂 And this is only a small part of it. Someday I will find time about many things and tell you in more detail, but so far not at all before the blog. And now my son has a cold, it became so completely sad. It seems like nothing serious, but because of a cold, he sleeps badly and is very moody, because of this we also sleep badly and are moody 🙂

Despite the fact that Bali is one of the most popular resorts in the world, there are many disputes about holidays here with children. Some try not to bother at all over this issue, pack their bags and go on a trip, others carefully plan a trip, trying to take into account all foreseen and unforeseen circumstances. Let's try to figure out if Bali is generally suitable for a children's holiday and, if so, which areas should be preferred.

A visit to the paradise island with a child has a number of advantages, among which it is worth highlighting:

  1. Vitamins. Bali has a huge amount of fruits that are ready to saturate the growing body with all the useful vitamins and minerals. Due to various sanctions, there is no opportunity to try many of them in Russia, therefore, in Bali, in this regard, the soul rests. However, the child should be taught to exotic from a small portion.
  2. Wellness. Good ecology, the cleanest air, the proximity of the ocean help to strengthen the immune system. On the island, you can forget what flu, colds and other seasonal illnesses are.
  3. Development. Being in international teams, the child becomes more relaxed, can master a few new words in English and try different sports.
  4. Lots of entertainment. Regardless of the age of your child, he will definitely not be bored. There are a large number of development centers, schools, attractions, parks on the island, there is a zoo, a dolphinarium, a water park, and this is not the whole list.
  5. Large selection of cafes and restaurants. In Bali you will find dishes from different cuisines of the world, there are vegetarian and raw food establishments.
  6. Availability of good hotels. The hotel base in Bali is represented by modest 3-star and comfortable 5-star hotels. Many have playgrounds, children's menus, and toddler clubs.

disadvantages

  1. Not every beach on the island is suitable for water treatments. There are often waves off the coast, which is not the best conditions for a child. In general, a beach holiday in Bali should not be the main purpose of the trip, since the island is not ideal in this regard.
  2. Heavy traffic, as a rule, the speed does not exceed 40 km per hour, as a result, to get from one place to another, you can waste a lot of time.
  3. There is a huge number of insects on the island, from which it is often simply impossible to hide, so you have to save yourself with improvised means. And above the bed, you should definitely install a mosquito net.
  4. Intestinal infections. You can encounter them not only in Bali, but also in all countries of Southeast Asia. It is necessary to strictly observe hygiene, eat only in proven places.
  5. The language barrier is also a kind of disadvantage, especially if you plan to spend a long time in Bali. At first, it will be difficult for a child to establish contact with his peers, since they will not understand each other (if this does not apply to Russian tourists).
  6. Quite a long flight to the island, not all children can sit in one place for a long time.

Best areas to stay

If you do decide to visit Bali with a child, then you should choose the holiday area that will meet all your requirements. The following areas are popular for families with children:

Sanur

The beach is a wide coastline covered with white sand. Five-star hotels with restaurants and swimming pools are concentrated along the coast. Their territory smoothly flows into the coastal zone, as a result of which it is always clean and comfortable here. A coral reef along the coast protects the beach from waves, so the sea remains calm almost always. There is a play center in the center of the beach; kids from 1 to 6 years old can visit it, children are there under the supervision of teachers. The best hotels to visit with children are Prama Sanur Beach Bali, Mercure Resort Sanur and Prime Plaza Hotel Sanur.

Nusa Dua

The resort is suitable for a relaxing holiday, there are practically no night entertainment facilities, which means that it will be as comfortable as possible to relax with children. The lack of beaches at ebb and flow, but if you study the map in advance, you can plan your swimming time in the sea and not feel any discomfort. Many hotels have children's clubs with various activities, and there are separate swimming pools. Many restaurants have developed a special children's menu and high chairs are provided. The best hotels are Tanadewa Luxury Villas & Spa, Melia Bali, Hilton Bali Resort.

Semenyak

This is one of the most prestigious resorts on the island, which is in particular demand among Europeans. It is famous for its first class sandy beach, quality hotels and great restaurants. There is a well-developed infrastructure along the beach line, there are no high waves on the sea, which creates optimal conditions for swimming. The resort has opportunities for children from 0 to 12 years old. From entertainment it is worth highlighting El Parque Bali - a complex for family tourists. Among the best hotels are Villa Coco Bali, D'Penjor Seminyak, Gracia Bali Villas, Sarinande Hotel.

Jimbaran

This is one of the finest, suitable for families with children. Quiet and beautiful place, near the coast, waves are rare. The resort has a strong hotel base, however, many hotels are not suitable for children. When planning a trip with a child, pay attention to the following options - Karma Jimbaran, Kayumanis Jimbaran, Le Meridien Bali, Abi Bali Resort and Villa.

Ubud

The area is also a good option for families and is especially popular during the low season. The only drawback is the lack of beaches, but there are great opportunities for cultural development. The Samaya Bali is one of the best hotels for children.

Resting in Bali, you will have the opportunity to find entertainment for a child of any age. Among the most popular places are the Monkey Forest, Dolphinarium, Bird and Reptile Park, Zoo, Elephant Show, Butterfly Garden, Ice Rink, Water Park, Botanical Garden. Of course, this is not the whole list of interesting places. For example, you can take an older child with you on rafting. Rafting takes place on large rafts under the supervision of instructors, and the emotions received from such entertainment can hardly be compared with anything.

From all of the above, we can say with confidence that Bali is suitable for children's holidays. The most important thing is to correctly plan the program of your stay on the island and choose a suitable resort.

Everyone has probably heard of the Indonesian island of Bali. True, not everyone managed to visit there. And you can go to this magical island with a gentle tropical sun, turquoise ocean and real jungle for different reasons.

Someone wants to lazily soak up the sand under the soft rustle of sea waves, someone has long planned to arrange a gorgeous trip for the whole family, someone haunted by the thought of a vacation dedicated to exploring the ocean depths, conquering volcanic peaks or diving headlong into culture distant islands, and someone just can't wait to make one of the most important events in life - to go on an unforgettable romantic honeymoon trip.

The island of Bali, where the air is literally saturated with the aroma of exotic and incredibly beautiful flowers of the temple tree frangipani and sandalwood, and saturated with the energy of the ocean, gives everyone the opportunity to find relaxation here to their liking.

All kinds of entertainment are available to tourists: in addition to relaxing on the beach, you can go to the jungle, walk on rice terraces, in a reptile and bird park or in a monkey forest, ride elephants or take part in a jeep safari, dive or go surfing, inspect ancient temples.

Both budget travelers and lovers of exquisite luxury will find leisure options for themselves here. The cost of traveling to Bali (especially if it is a trip with a large company) due to an expensive flight may not be very budgetary.

But there is an opportunity to save on cheap food, shopping for all sorts of inexpensive goodies, gifts, travel between the islands (a ferry ride costs mere pennies). And in general, it may turn out that a trip to a distant island will cost less than a trip to a closer and seemingly more budgetary destination.

If the cost of resting with children in Indonesia is not an obstacle, the only thing that can still confuse family tourists (especially with kids) is a long flight (approximately 15 hours from Moscow).

Where is Bali Island located?

Bali is a fairly large island (its width is 80 km, length is 150 km), located in the world's largest archipelago (consists of 30 large islands, including Lombok, Bintan, Kalimantan, Java, Papua, Sulawesi, Batam and others).

For those who are traveling to Indonesia for the first time, experts advise starting their acquaintance with this country from Bali, which (despite the growing popularity of other islands) remains the number one destination. And, of course, for beach and sightseeing holidays, most families with children also go to this year-round resort.

By the way, according to an ancient legend, this paradise island, in which the harmony of silence, the kingdom of mysticism and beautiful nature are closely intertwined, was once chosen by the gods, who chose it as a place where they could rest and relax from the difficult task of managing the world.

For reference:

  • The capital of Indonesia is Jakarta, the capital of Bali is Denpasar.
  • Time difference between Bali and Moscow - 5 hours.
  • There are no direct flights to Indonesia from Russia. You need to get there with transfers, using connections in other countries.
  • Russian tourists can enter the country without a visa for 30 days through certain airports, seaports, and the island of Batam.

Traditions and national characteristics

Indonesia is a land of different religions, with an extremely devout and spiritual population. This feature should be taken into account when visiting Bali.

For example, during the Muslim holidays, you need to adhere to certain rules in clothing and behavior. And during the celebration of the Day of Silence, tourists may experience some inconveniences, which are better known in advance. This day happens in April-May, but it falls on different dates. At this time, restaurants, cafes, banks, institutions usually do not work, and no one (even tourists) should go out into the street.

In general, the Balinese are very friendly, affable and smiling people.

Excellent climate all year round

There is an opinion among Russian tourists that it is necessary to go to Asia in winter. But Indonesia, contrary to the prevailing stereotype, is still more suitable for summer travel. May to October is the most favorable time for a trip to Bali and the best conditions for a beach holiday. And that's why.

The climatic season is conventionally divided here into two periods: April-October - dry, November-March - wet. The air temperature (and the water temperature close to it) remains approximately the same all year round. On average, about 30 ° С, water temperature + 26-27 ° С.

The peak of tourist activity in Bali is summer. At this time, there is practically no rain in the resorts and it is cooler than in winter. The average summer months are + 27-28 ° С (the hottest months are July, August). And by November, the temperature rises, humidity increases due to the arrival of torrential tropical rains. The most abundant rainfall occurs in mid-January and February.

However, the equatorial-tropical climate, sun and warmth all year round make it possible to relax in Bali in any season.

Bali beaches

One of the reasons to go to Bali with children is the many good resorts (Nusa Dua, Sanur, Benoa, Jimbaran, Lovina, Kuta, Kandy Dasa, Tuban Legion), beaches and hotels. This allows you to choose a vacation spot to your liking. In addition, the place of deployment can always be changed and try out the rest in another resort place.

The main beach areas are concentrated in the south. The beaches in Bali are mostly sandy, but you should not count on their impeccable condition, cleanliness and snow-white sand.

Bali resorts are characterized by high tides, during which algae and debris can be thrown from the ocean to the shore, and ebb tides with water leaving far from the coast. On beaches, signs are usually installed, which indicate the time of ebb and flow for each specific location.

Bali landmarks

Traveling with children to Bali is not just a beach holiday. People come here for impressions and vivid emotions.

Almost all excursions for adults are also suitable for children. And even visiting temples turns not just into a boring contemplation of unique architectural structures for a child, but into an interesting tourist route with a visit to beautiful parks with exotic nature, flowers, ponds, fish and animals.

The island of the gods, painted by nature itself in bright colors, is magnificent. Here tourists will find pristine landscape, tall palms, tropical forests and dense jungles, volcanoes, mountains, beautiful waterfalls, blue lagoons, sacred places with majestic temples that have kept secrets and special energy from ancient times, unique Indonesian culture, spirituality and friendliness of the local population.

It is not difficult to get lost in such a variety of natural, architectural and cultural attractions. Travel company "GidNaBali" can help you to choose the best and most interesting excursions and organize an unforgettable vacation on the island at the best prices. Details about her services and professional employees who adore their work and do it with love for clients can be found on the official website of the GidNaBali company.

Among many other companies providing services to tourists on the island, GidNaBali.ru is the leader in the market for providing travel services for Russian-speaking tourists not only in Bali, but throughout Indonesia.

This is a very important advantage. The company employs enthusiastic people who speak excellent Russian, but at the same time, as the indigenous inhabitants of the island, they thoroughly and firsthand know the history of their country, its customs and traditions. And most importantly, they can tell about it in such a way that the listeners are delighted not only from what they see, but also from what they hear.

During the sightseeing excursions organized by the "GidNaBali" company, you can get acquainted with the most interesting places on the island. And these are, first of all, the temples of Bali, of which there are more than two thousand.

Religious Indonesians are confident that the temple protects and protects the surrounding area and people living on it from various misfortunes and troubles. They build them everywhere, and in approximately the same way. But no two are alike.

Let's consider only the most famous of them, where you simply cannot help but visit.

    • Temple complexXIII century Pura-Besakih, located on the slope of the Gunung-Agung volcano, where, as the locals assure, all the gods live. In Bali, it is the largest and most important Hindu temple.
    • Tanakh Lot (or Temple on the Water), towering on a rock on a small island in the ocean, which protects Bali from the evil demons living in the depths of the sea. The temple is considered the most sacred, and foreigners can only admire it from the outside. The island can be accessed via exposed land at low tide.
    • Uluwatu Temple (Temple on the cliff), protecting the island from the demons of the ocean, on the territory of which monkeys frolic with might and main. It is located in the very south of the island. This is a stunningly beautiful place from where you can admire the magnificent sunsets and huge waves in the ocean. Traditional kecak dances are also held here.
    • Tirta Gangga Water Palace (an ensemble of fountains, decorative lakes, springs and pools).
  • Taman Ujung- water palace and royal residence.
  • Taman Ayun Royal Temple Complex in Mengwisurrounded by water (where you can admire the delightful traditional architecture, fish ponds, large landscaped lotus garden).
  • Xram Ulun-Danu - a temple in the middle of the lake, dedicated to the goddess of the sea and lakes, stands on Lake Bratan. And although the entrance to it is inaccessible to foreigners, there is a park next to it, from where you can admire it.
  • Tirta Empul Temple - a favorite place for tourists with a hot sacred spring and pools with fountains, where you can undergo a purification procedure.
  • Saraswati temple (or the Water Palace) dedicated to the goddess of wisdom and knowledge Saraswati is a beautiful place in Ubud.
  • Pura Luhur Lempuyang temple ("Stairway to Heaven") is an incredibly beautiful place.
  • Goa Gajah Temple (Elephant Cave).
  • Gunung Kawi Temple.

Those who admire natural beauty will be interested in visiting Lake Bratan (northern Bali) with three beautiful islands where it often rains, hills intertwine with jungle, strawberries and oranges grow.

Rice terraces in Ubud are another very beautiful place with a stunningly magical landscape. Although for the Balinese this is the most common place (which, by the way, there are many in the country), where rice is grown among paths and steps.

Monkey Forest Park and Street (a nature reserve in Ubud), in which the main attraction besides the temples that fill the forest with mysticism are the monkeys scurrying everywhere.

It is interesting to visit the Safari Park, GWK Park, Waterbom Bali Water Park, Taman Nusa Ethnic Park, Bratan Lake Botanical Garden or the Zoo, Elephant Park, where you can ride them and ride with children. You can also visit the Agung and Batur volcanoes, the Aling-Aling and Git-Git waterfalls. Participate in various master classes where they teach wood carving, batik making, and Balinese cuisine. Parents can do this with their children or separately.

If you find yourself in the east of the island near Chandidas, be sure to visit a beautiful and fabulous place - a small chocolate factory.

Once in Bali, nothing prevents you from visiting other islands along the way, getting to know the unique culture of the country, having visited Jakarta, admiring the beauty of the Bromo volcano, the Borobudur and Prambanan temples on Java island, seeing the largest lizards and giant monitor lizards existing today on Komodo island. visit Lake Toba or go hiking in the wild jungle in Borneo. Or you can take a speed boat for two or three days (travel time - 2.5 hours) to the paradise islands of Gili with magnificent beaches, where everyone travels only on bicycles and horses.

Bali wedding

In addition to organizing unforgettable bright excursions, the company "GidNaBali" develops new routes, creates travel packages, organizes original leisure and wedding ceremonies for different budgets, helps to choose the best accommodation options in villas and hotels on the island. And all at prices lower than anywhere else in Bali.

And a few more words about the wedding ceremonies organized by the "GidNaBali" company, which are very beautiful and popular among tourists from other countries.

Wedding ceremonies and marriage ties in Bali are not just beautiful and unusual. There is an opinion that such marriages are the most durable and bring prosperity, prosperity and true love to a young family.

In GidNaBali, newlyweds can choose from a variety of options for organizing an unforgettable celebration. From the simplest (but, mind you, no less romantic) beach ceremony to large-scale weddings in luxury hotels, on uninhabited islands, in a Balinese palace, with a ceremony on elephants, in tropical gardens and jungle, in a chapel, in the mountains, on a cliff and near a volcano, in a villa ... Just do not list everything.

All wedding events are accompanied by mysterious rituals to help young people become happy, dressing in Balinese attire (if you wish, you can dress in European attire), applying special makeup, traditional dances and performances, and a romantic dinner. You can read more information on the company's website in the section wedding in Bali.

So why is this island so attractive for tourists? Perhaps because there are ideal conditions for everything: for a wonderful family vacation with children, for unforgettable leisure with friends, for romantic dinners, for honeymoons and weddings. And simply because Bali is unique, bright and original. It is an experience and relaxation that cannot be forgotten.

If you are preparing for a trip to Bali, then you have probably already heard that local beaches are more suitable for surfing than for a relaxing beach holiday on a sun lounger. The location of the island is such that almost always it is exposed to the "invasion" of waves. The Bali shores are high cliffs, like walls protecting from the wildness of the sea. Therefore, before the trip, it is important to decide in which part of the island to spend your vacation. Only in some parts of the island there are calm beaches for swimming in Bali, which are suitable for a quiet vacation relaxation and a relaxing family vacation with splashing kids. And in this article I will share a personal selection of such beaches.

Most of the beaches without waves are located on the southernmost tip of Bali - on the Bukit Peninsula. As a rule, this is where package tours are sold in Russian travel agencies. Sometimes cheaper options offer a trip to Kuta, but this is clearly not the beach where you can calmly swim in the sea. Therefore, first we will take a closer look at the best beaches in Bali for swimming in the Bukit area, and then in other parts of the island.

Nusa Dua beach in Bali

If you are thinking about a trip to Bali, then definitely choose Nusa Dua. This is one of the most popular beaches with the best hotels on the island. The water here is turquoise, there are practically no waves, a wonderful entrance to the sea, and the sand is the softest. Rest in Nusa Dua will be truly relaxing.

If you are driving on your own, you do not have to choose hotels on the first line. The beach is absolutely free and is not fenced off by anything, so it is possible to enter it not only for guests of nearby hotels, but also for those who have settled further away. But, of course, living by the sea itself is a great pleasure, although not cheap.

I recommend always looking for discounts and comparing prices through HotelLook, a hotel search engine from the famous AviaSales brand, before booking a hotel. Sometimes you can find Bali hotels on it with a discount of up to 50%!

Perhaps the only drawback of this beach is that during the vacation you can get quite tired of "doing nothing". Many tourists do not go further than Nusa Dua and the surrounding area, so their impressions of Bali remain rather blurred.

In order not to become a victim of boredom, I advise you to pay attention to one-day excursions around the island with a Russian-speaking guide - and. Alternatively, you can independently plan your stay in different parts of Bali to see it from all angles and soak up its magical atmosphere. Make sure to stop for 2-3 days in Ubud and get to the volcanoes near Kintamani.

Geger beach Bali

Locals distinguish the southernmost part of Nusa Dua as a separate beach called Geger, although in fact both beaches stretch as a single whole along the coastline. Accordingly, the beaches are very similar in appearance. At least the type of sand, the color of the water and the absence of large waves clearly unite them, and the general atmosphere on the beaches is identical.

But there are fewer people on Geger and only a few hotels, and therefore rest here will be quieter and not crowded. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle and a lot of people, then Geger is the perfect vacation spot.

Pandawa Beach

One of the most unusual beaches in Bali. Its distinctive feature is the expressive rock formations separating the Pandava from the road and the entire island by a wall. Locals call this beach Kutuh Beach. It is especially suitable for those who are looking for the beaches of Bali for swimming with children. a calm sea without waves, a convenient entrance into the water and snow-white sand, from which different castles are so well molded, will delight both the child and his parents.

If you settle a little deeper from the Pandava beach, then you can find excellent inexpensive accommodation options in the price range from 1000 rubles. per day, you can see them on Booking.com. But if you want to live in this area with a sea view, then this option is offered at the luxury villas Pandawa Cliff Estate and Villa Karang Putih, which are located on the cliff. Accommodation in them is especially suitable for honeymooners and couples.

White Sand Beach

If you are looking for white sand bathing beaches in Bali, then this beach fully reflects its name. The sand on it is really white and soft, like flour. In general, this is quite rare for the east coast, because on the beaches nearby, on the contrary, underfoot crunches black as soot sand - the result of the proximity to the Agung volcano.

For most tourists, this beach is secret, because it is not crowded here. White Sand Beach is beautiful, tranquil and free of big waves. There are cafes with freshly squeezed juices and cocktails, sun loungers for relaxation, and in the sea you can swim with a mask, looking at tropical marine life. There are no hotels near White Sand Beach, you will have to get here by your own transport.

Jimbaran beach Bali

One of the few beaches on the west coast of Bali where the sea is relatively calm. Of course, waves are present here, but they are much smaller than on neighboring Kuta, Seminyak or Legian, and the bottom is good and the depth near the coast is shallow. Accordingly, you can safely swim without fear of feeling the bottom with your foot, and swimming in Jimbaran will be affordable for children. Although I advise you to go here with older children, and not quite babies.

Jimbaran has a fairly developed infrastructure with an abundance of restaurants and hotels for every taste. Again, Jimbaran is located relatively close to all significant places and getting from here to various attractions of the island is clearly easier than from the very south of Bali.

In addition, the plus is that rest in Jimbaran is often cheaper than in Nusa Dua and other Bukin beaches. Thanks to the long coastline, there are many hotels for every budget. But at the same time, the crowds of tourists on the beach are not particularly felt due to the fact that everything is somehow absorbed along the coast. You can always find a secluded corner to relax.

As a conclusion, I note that whatever one may say, the most beautiful beaches of Bali for swimming and relaxing rest are located in the south of the island. Of course, there is White Sand Bech in the east and Jimbaran in the west, but these are the exceptions rather than the general rule. the western beaches are more suitable for surfing, while the eastern ones are more suitable for snorkeling. Accordingly, when planning a trip, I recommend looking for hotels in the south of the Bukit Peninsula.
