Juan Dolio clearly wins here. The capital is only 60 km away, not 210 from Bavaro. It is closer from here to the Samana Peninsula, and to the mountainous regions of Jarabacoa and Constanta, and even to the northern coast. If you want to explore the country, then it is better to relax in these parts. There are no special attractions in the village itself, but it’s just nice to walk here. A wide white boulevard, fences covered with grapes, illuminated high-rise hotels, many cozy bakeries and bars with live music - Juan Dolio is pretending to be Miami a little.
