On its territory there are 16 divine sculptures, the main of which is a gilded statue of the Big Buddha. The height of this monument, the construction of which lasted as long as 18 years, is about 15 m, so it can be seen from all over Pattaya. Sights of Pattaya, a photo with a description of which adorn many tourist avenues, includes another interesting place. We are talking about the 3D gallery Art in Paradise.

The construction of this museum, open to the public in the spring of 2012, cost Thai businessman Shin Jae Joule 50 million baht. The result of such a significant investment was a huge three-story building, covering an area of 5800 square meters. m. and has gathered a lot of different exhibits. Each of these paintings is located in a specific thematic area - dinosaurs, art, the underwater world, safari, ancient buildings, landscapes, animals, etc.

At first glance, it may seem that there is nothing unusual in these canvases, but this is not at all true. Having taken a couple of shots, you will understand what all the salt is! Firstly, most of the paintings are painted not only on the walls, but also on the floor, and secondly, various blackouts and spatial images were used to paint them. All this creates a beautiful 3D effect, which will be best seen in the photo. It seems that a person is an important part of a job. Here he runs away from a herd of bison, catches a fairy bird by the tail, rises up the magic stairs, holds the elephant’s trunk

 • Located at 78/34 Moo 9 Pattaya Second Road | Nongprue, Banglamung, Pattaya 20150, Thailand.
 • Art Gallery "Art in Paradise" is open to visitors from 9 am to 9 pm. You can come here either together or with a large company, because most of the three-dimensional paintings involve collective photographs.
 • Ticket price is 400 TNV for adults and 200 TNV for children.

Pattaya Floating Market

Are you interested in what to see and where to go to Pattaya on your own? Without fail, take a look at the floating bazaar, which is one of the modern attractions of Thailand (it was built at the end of 2008). The market, which occupies a very small area, is divided into 4 zones, each of which corresponds to a specific region of the country.

On its territory there are about 100 shops, restaurants and cafes, between which bridges and boat tracks are laid. In addition, you can see boxing fights and national dances, buy works by local artists and undergo a massage. For more information on Pattaya's floating market, see.

Having decided to explore the sights of Pattaya on your own, walk along Volkin Street, the most famous street of the city. It is better to come here at 5 o’clock in the afternoon - in the daytime the avenue is open for traffic, and therefore is not of particular tourist interest.

But with the onset of the evening, Walking Street becomes an exclusively pedestrian zone, inside of which serious passions are seething. The fact is that in addition to traditional cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, discos, cinemas, you can find a lot of purely adult entertainment here - “massages with continuation”, Go Go bars with striptease, etc. Walking continues until 2 a.m. until the last drinking establishments will be closed, and tourists will not spend all the remaining money. For a more detailed description of this attraction, see.

What can you see in Pattaya on your own so that the impressions of what you see remain in your memory for a long time? Among such objects is the beach street of Beach Road, originating from the fountain with dolphins and running all the way to Walking Street. As in any other resort town, the “road along the beach”, as this embankment is often called, is one of the most visited tourist places. And all because precisely on it are the most famous institutions of the city. It is crowded at any time of the day, so it seems that the Beach road never sleeps.

During the day you can swim and sunbathe on the beach (though it’s not very clean), ride on bananas, water skis and scooters, enjoy fresh seafood, enjoy the famous Thai massage, make a “fish” peeling and also buy souvenirs for relatives and friends.

At dusk, life on the waterfront becomes even more interesting. Scraps of music come from nightclubs, showcases of boutiques and shopping centers sparkle invitingly, numerous discos shimmer with colorful lights, enticing aromas of cafes and restaurants soar in the air, and brisk trade unfolds from street stalls. In general, holiday reigns everywhere! In addition, transvestite shows are regularly held here, so it is highly not recommended to come to the nightly Beach road with children.

Among the most popular Pattaya attractions in Thailand available for self-examination, it is worth noting the Mini Siam Park. It was opened in 1986 and was almost immediately divided into 2 parts - Thai and European.

The main highlight of this place is miniature copies of the most famous cultural and historical objects of the world - the Kremlin, the Leaning Tower and the Eiffel Towers, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Versailles Palace, etc. It is very beautiful in the afternoon, but in the evening when the LED lights turn on, the park changes beyond recognition . To learn more about him, go.

On the map of Pattaya with attractions that are worth seeing on your own, there is another route that is very popular among beach lovers. The island of Ko Lan, and we are talking about it, is located a few kilometers from the city on the shore of the Gulf of Thailand. Its main characteristic feature is 6 comfortable beaches and well-developed infrastructure, which allows you to spend some wonderful days away from the noisy metropolis. And on this island, the cleanest water and sand in the entire bay.

Pattaya City Sign Lookout

You came to rest in Pattaya and do not know where to go and what to see on your own? Take a walk to the symbol of this city - the observation deck with the inscription Pattaya City, which is clearly visible both day and night. The huge letters set on Pratumnak Hill are a favorite place for photo shoots not only for visitors, but also for local residents. But this is far from the only reason Pattaya City Sign is considered the resort's best esplanade.

Its popularity is also facilitated by the beautiful views that open onto Walking Street, Bali Hai pier, Jomtien and Pattaya Beach beaches, as well as Pattaya Bay, the shape of which resembles a crescent moon. In addition to the letters on the top of the hill, there are a couple of objects - the sacred temple of Wat Kho Phra Bat and a sculpture of his royal highness Prince Jumborn. With all this, the observation platform has a rather impressive size, avoiding a large crowd of people.

Pattaya City Sign is open around the clock. The only exception is the area in which the monument to the prince is installed - it is open from 07.30 to 21.00. The visit is free. Municipal transport does not go here, so you will have to get either on foot, or by taxi, or by car (private or rented). Climbing the hill is most convenient from the side of the central part of Pattaya or the Pratamnak district. It is better to leave the car in the lower parking lot next to the tourist buses - there are very few parking spaces on the top of the hill.

Another important attraction of Pattaya in Thailand is the Ramayana Water Park, which opened in 2016 and won the title of the resort's largest water park. On its territory there are more than 50 attractions, among which there are both extreme roller coasters and calm and absolutely safe zones for the youngest visitors.

In addition, a “lazy" river flows through Ramayana, along which you can go down on an inflatable raft, and a wave pool with sun loungers and umbrellas that can replace the sea. And, of course, one cannot fail to note the landscape of the park with its unique artifacts. For a detailed description, see.

What else to see in Pattaya on your own? Finally, visit another water park - Cartoon Network Amazone, built in 2014 by the eponymous animated channel. It occupies a huge area, divided into several sections. In each of them are attractions of varying degrees of difficulty - from small to extreme. At the same time, parents can be absolutely calm - children below 140 cm will not be allowed to the adult slides. In addition, the water park has a special area for surfing and other water sports. To learn more about them, go ahead.

Sights of Pattaya delight with its versatility and diversity. They will be interesting not only for young people, but also for older people, as well as couples who come to rest with their children. Everyone will find their favorite place here.

All the attractions described in the article are marked on the map in Russian.

The temple is already beginning to gradually collapse and requires restoration.

The observation deck is not accidental here. On Mount Pratamnak, there is the highest elevation of Pattaya, where a city television tower is also built. In addition, another holy place for local residents is located near the site - a monument to Admiral Krom, who founded the national marine fleet.

Another Buddhist temple in Pattaya, Wat Khao Phra Bat, was built on the territory of the observation deck. Here you can take photos near the Buddha statue or undergo a blessing ceremony with a local monk.

Wat Yan Temple

The full name of the temple complex sounds like Wat Yansangwararam, but to simplify the pronunciation it is simply reduced to Wat Yan. Around the territory of the temple is insanely beautiful, a lot of greenery, well-groomed paths, fountains, flower beds and a pond.

The main shrine of this attraction is the imprint or cast of the foot of the Buddha. To get to the print you need to climb the hill, to which 300 steps lead from the temple. Going upstairs, you will see not only religious value, but also an amazing view.

Wat Yan Temple welcomes visitors all year round and every day. The working hours of the temple are from 8:00 to 16:00, entrance to the temple is free. You will have to pay only for raising to the Buddha’s trail - 50 baht.

Golden Buddha Rock

At a distance of several kilometers from the temple of Wat Yang is another attraction of Pattaya - the rock of the Golden Buddha. The rock is lined with gold plates that repeat the silhouette of the Buddha during the sculpture.

An interesting fact is the size of the Buddha image. It is considered the largest in the world. The height of the gold display is more than 100 meters and the width is almost 70 m. The date of the image creation dates back to 1996, when the reign of King Rama 4 in Thailand was fifty years old.

The temple and the cliffs can only be reached by taxi or with your own car, since they are located at a distance of 20 kilometers from Pattaya, where public transport does not go. The cost of the trip varies between ordinary taxi drivers and tuk-tuk drivers from 300 to 500 baht.

On this map you will see the exact location of all the above attractions. Click on the icon and the name of the place will appear on the left.

Sights of Pattaya are diverse and distinguished by their versatility. They will be interesting to visit, both youth and couples with young children. Thai culture is one of the most religiously saturated on the whole earth, and it found its manifestation in the architectural monuments of Pattaya.

Going on vacation to a new country, a tourist is always visited by a slight sense of fear, especially if there is no knowledge of the language and travel experience. “What if I get lost? How to find a hotel? ” A feeling of confidence in walks can give a map of the tourist's resting area. In the article you will find detailed maps of Pattaya and its areas.

Theoretically, Pattaya is not a big resort. In the first days you adapt and you can find the way to the hotel without a map tip. Nevertheless, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the general map of the resort:

As you can see on the map, most of the resort faces the sea. By districts, the city can be divided into the center - beach and second streets; northern part - the tourist area with hotels ends exactly as shown on the map; southern part - divided into Buddha Hill, displayed on the map, and continues far to the south, for about another 15 km.

City center
Pattaya

In the central part there are more hotels. On the one hand, the residents of the center were lucky - the infrastructure for tourists here is most developed. You can not take a taxi, everything is within walking distance - shopping centers, markets, restaurants, cafes, Walking street - red light district, etc. On the other hand, the sea is the most unsightly in the resort (see the article Pattaya's Best Hotels and Beaches)

The beach street faces the sea, on it is one-way traffic from north to south. The second street runs parallel to the beach - but the one-way traffic in the opposite direction - from south to north. Between the two main streets there are small jays - Thai streets.

Also in the center, at the end of Walking street (Walking Street) is a pier from which ferries sail to the nearest island of Koh Lan. Ticket price 30 baht, ferry timetables can be found on the map.

South - Buddha Hill and Jomtien Beach

If you look at the general map of Pattaya, Buddha Hill is located closer to the center, and the Jomtien coast stretches further south - all this is southern Pattaya.

Among tourists, there are a lot of fans of Buddha Hill for relaxing in Pattaya. Fairly clear sea, wide beach line, prestigious quiet place, not far from the center. On foot, you still can’t reach the center; shuttle transport for tourists can be provided by the hotel. Otherwise, taxi services are available to tourists.

Buddha Hill smoothly passes into the Jomtien coastline, theoretically it can also be divided into 2 parts - in the city and outside the city. The city has the part that goes along the beach street of Jomtien. Outside the city, this is one that has no road along the coast. Conventionally, on the map a little further than the hotel “Sigma”.

Tourists with hotels in Jomtien located in the city can take advantage of the tuk-tuks that go along the first beach street of Jomtien to the center. The fare is 10 baht per person (the price may change at the time of your arrival). But tourists who live outside the city, unfortunately, will not be able to use shuttle tuk-tuks, only a taxi or a shuttle bass from the hotel. But in the south of Pattaya the cleanest sea and a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Pattaya North - Naklua

The northern part of the resorts is called Naklya. This is a fairly prestigious part of the city, many 5 * hotels are located here. If you will be staying in a hotel on the beach, and want to go shopping in the center, then you will have to take a taxi from the hotel. If you want to save money, you can walk to Naklya Street, wait for the route tuk-tuk and drive to the center on it. The tourist zone of the northern part ends at the Garden Sea View hotel, there are practically no hotels to the north along the coast, a fishing village begins. The northern hotel “Cholchan” is the farthest from the center and is located at the exit from Pattaya.

Returning to your hotels in the evening, you can always take a pre-arranged business card at the hotel. This will save you from unnecessary explanations with the driver and using the card. Although, of course, a few days after arrival, you will no longer need a card!

In stores you can find paid cards in Pattaya (mainly as part of travel guides), but why do you need to buy a guide for the sake of the card;
 • in large shopping centers in Pattaya - in most large shopping centers promoters work and distribute all kinds of flyers, do not rush to wave them off, among the ads you can find a decent map of Pattaya in Russian.

Most free Pattaya maps will be full of advertisements, such a fee for free, although some of the ads may be useful.

Pattaya areas on the map

Navigating in Pattaya is very simple, and especially if you have a detailed map of Pattaya in your hands. The whole city is divided into several areas, most of which overlook the sea, they are the most tourist. The largest districts in Pattaya are only four: Naklua (in the north of Pattaya), Central Pattaya, South Pattaya, Pratamnak (here the most expensive tourist accommodation, this area is sometimes called “Russian Pattaya”) and Jomtien in the south. In addition to these areas, Pattaya is adjoined by many villages, which make up a densely populated agglomeration with a total population of more than 500,000 people.

If you look at the map of Pattaya, you can see how the city is arranged and it’s really very easy to navigate in it. Parallel to the sea are wide streets (Pattaya Beach Road, Second Road, Third Road, etc.), these wide streets are interconnected by the so-called Jays (Soi, which means a lane), that's all the simple logic of Pattaya's device.

Pattaya Naklua District or North Pattaya

Naklya district is a respectable district in the very north of Pattaya, there are many expensive hotels in which Russian tourists with high incomes like to stay. In addition to hotels in the Naklia area, there are many condominiums, some apartments also belong to our compatriots.

Attractions of the Naklua area:

 • main bus station, from here buses leave for Bangkok;
 • large fish market;
 • a small fishing village;
 • the temple of truth - the tallest wooden structure in the world, built without a single nail;
 • several beaches.

Central Pattaya District

The most noisy and crowded area of the city is Central Pattaya, all the free space of the streets here is occupied by street vendors, massage parlors and numerous hotels and guesthouses.

The main streets of the district, overloaded from transport, stretch along the beach of Central Pattaya: Pattaya Beach (Pattaya Beach Rd), Second (Second Road) and Third (Third Road) streets, Central (Pattaya Klang) and South (Pattaya Tai) roads.

Contrary to the erroneous opinions that say that the famous Volkin Street is located in Central Pattaya - this is not so, Volkin Street is located in South Pattaya (this can be seen on the map of Pattaya). Nevertheless, (in Central Pattaya), most of the city’s major shopping centers are located in this area, the largest of which is called the Central Festival.

A nice feature of Central Pattaya is its transport accessibility. You can get to and from Central Pattaya by cheap on any tuk-tuk, of which there are many, and there are even more routes for them.

South Pattaya District

The world famous Volkin Street for debauchery and entertainment is located in this area of Pattaya, however, apart from this street, South Pattaya can not boast of anything else.

There are several important tourist sites in the South Pattaya area that should be mentioned: South Bus Station, Bali Hai Sea Pier (where ferries leave for Koh Lan Island), a race track, Big C hypermarket.

The biggest attraction of the South Pattaya area is Volkin Street, which in the afternoon is no different from the rest of Pattaya streets, but after 18:00 the street is blocked for traffic and hundreds of bars, discos, restaurants, massage parlors open on it (some of which specialize in massage for men) and other tourist attractions.

Neon advertising lights seem to flow like water from Woking Street along the alleys, which are also full of nightlife, and numerous Go-Go bars and hotels with hourly rates (Short time room) clearly hint at an interesting continuation of the evening.

Pattaya District Pratamnak

The Pratamnak area begins right after the Bali Hai pier. This isolated area of Pattaya can be safely called the most respectable and the most Russian, and the locals call it “Russian Pattaya”. Many of our compatriots live in this quiet and pleasant area, some rent long-term apartments in condominiums, and some have their own property.

Attractions in the Pratumnak area:

 • princess Residences of Thailand;
 • viewing platforms and the platform with the huge letters Pattaya City;
 • Buddhist Temple and Buddha statue;
 • city radio station;
 • water park and bungee on the roof of the hotel Pattaya Park.
