It so happened that in almost every country I have a relative or girlfriend - somehow they scattered them around the world. Who got married, who emigrated, and who went to work and took root. It’s boring without them, but there is where to go on a visit — at least twice a year, travel abroad. And this year, as if the bag had been untied: almost every month you need to go to the festivities. That aunt in Germany has an anniversary, then her friend has a wedding in Poland. And this month there are generally two trips with an interval of three days: on the 15th, my daughter was baptized by my sister in Geneva, and on the 18th by my brother in Rome, my son. In short, she worked for wear and tear, but she scraped money and asked for leave. To return home from Geneva and then go to Italy was somehow not with my hands, and I decided directly from Switzerland to get to Rome.

On duty, I periodically have to make flights to Belgium. Now it’s a pleasure to be there! Although, to be honest, this attitude to business trips I did not develop right away. Looking back at the experience of my first trip to the wonderful city of Antwerp, I just chuckle - and I’m unlikely to tell about my adventures (or rather misadventures) at that time to friends and acquaintances. And all because, to my shame, before the flight I was very worried, and did not bother to plan my movements beyond landing at the airport. I share my personal experience so that you do not fall into the trap of how it happened once with me. Here we go?)

From which airports can I get to Antwerp?

A wonderful city, and remarkable, in addition to cultural and historical values, it makes the airport, located on its territory. This is the easiest option - to land at the Antwerp Airport of the same name with the city, and then by land transport to get to the final destination.

The second option is Brussels airport, from which I personally travel more often. It is located about 40 kilometers from Antwerp, as the name implies, in the capital of Belgium. I don’t even know which of these two cities I liked to a greater extent. Unfortunately, being on a business trip often involves a busy schedule, but when you get a free minute, I'm just happy to be able to explore the surroundings :) But back to the route. and connected by rail. In addition, there is also a bus service between them.

Relatively accessible is another Brussels airport, also known as Charleroi Brussels South (a little less than 90 km from Antwerp).

From the airport called Schiphol in Amsterdam, as I recently discovered, it is also possible to get to Antwerp. I tell in more detail below.

Airports - what you need to know about them?

Hotels   - Do not forget to check prices from booking sites! Do not overpay. It !

How to get from the airport to Casablanca.

Greetings! Not to say that I am an experienced traveler;) But, I remember when I planned to visit the beautiful city of Casablanca, flattered by the many beautiful architecture, I was puzzled by similar questions. Well, I will share my experience so that there are no problems :)

At first it might seem that getting from the airport to the city is not difficult, I jumped in a taxi and there are no problems. But those who, like me, do not have great financial opportunities for travel, this article will be interesting.

To begin with, on many maps Anfa Airport is still mistakenly labeled as a worker, while it was closed back in 2007, and in 2008 it was transferred to a training airfield. Mohamed V Airport is the closest at the moment, well, if you consider 30 km from the city as a passing beam, you feel like;) Nevertheless, of course, I decided to get from it, rather than from airports in neighboring cities. By the way, all flights can be arranged for a long time through, at least, I really liked him. The trip from the airport to the city is an Arabian fairy tale :) What did I get to?

By car

I found a couple of car rental services, but I advise. Well, I'm not joking about the Arabian fairy tale. The road from the airport to the city runs through the Bouskoura Forest, where golf properties are partly located. I will not hide - this is a cool place :)

Loved and will love on my own, renting a car, get where I need to. It often turns out that when I’m going somewhere, I’ll definitely go somewhere not planned, take off on the coast, mountains, or just be interested in some interesting creature, but on this trip the alluring beauty of the vastness. Here and 30 km will not be enough to enjoy. So if you are at least a little sentimental and pay attention to such trifles, then get to Casablanca through another airport;)

From Bologna to Milan there is once again a flat stretch of road. After Milan you need to go along the A4 highway and before reaching Turin, turn onto A5 towards Aosta. This is where the fun begins, again the mountains and again the tunnels.

Toll road in Italy ends in Aosta, the next payment must be made for the passage in the Monte Bianco Tunnel (Mont Blanc). As I wrote above, it can be circled through the mountains, increasing the route by 30 km, since the passage through the tunnel is quite expensive. This tunnel is the hallmark of the Alps, it runs under the highest mountain of Mont Blanc.

In France, the toll road starts again, a warning at the entrance warns of this. After the tunnel to Geneva, the A40 road goes. In Switzerland, not everyone accepts the euro, so a small amount of money is best exchanged at the slightest opportunity.

Fare

A trip to Geneva by car is not cheap, you will have to pay about 60 euros for travel through Italy, then another 44 euros for travel in the tunnel. In France, the fare costs about 22 euros.

By train

Trains in Europe are a budget and fast way to move between cities; you will rarely agree that trains travel 900 km in 7-9 hours.

From Rome to Geneva, trains leave 4 times a day, but the schedule varies slightly, so the trip takes 7-9 hours in the afternoon and 12-14 on night trains. But it’s impossible to get there without a change, there is either one change in Milan, or two - Bologna and Milan.

Frecci and Eurocity high-speed trains go along this route, you can read about their features.

Comfortable trains and a convenient schedule allow you to quickly get to Geneva.

Buying tickets

The sooner you buy tickets, the cheaper they will be, the cheapest option is to travel by night trains, but inconvenient. See the Trenitalia website for timetables and ticket prices. You can buy tickets all on the same site and in the terminals at the station.

Fare

Tickets cost from 52 euros on a night train and from 70 euros on daily flights. Buying a ticket a week before departure will have to pay about 150 euros.

By plane

It would even be strange if there were no direct flights between these two cities. The flight schedule can be found on the website of the Fiumicino airport, or here. Flights are operated by several airlines (EasyJet, Alitalia, Swiss International Air Lines, Vueling Airlines), so the price of tickets can vary greatly.

The schedule depends on the day of the week, but you can fly away any day. Flight time is 1 hour 40 minutes. Remember that in Europe, the rules for packing luggage are somewhat stricter than ours, especially for liquids.

Where can I buy a ticket

Tickets are sold on the websites of the above companies, but as for me, the easiest way to do this is to look through all the possible airlines and choose the lowest price for the flight.

Fare

The ticket price ranges from and to, it all depends on the airline and the date of departure. The cheapest tickets are offered by Vueling Airlines, the price starts from 30 euros, but you need to buy a ticket a few months before the trip and the price does not include baggage transportation.

Other companies also provide pleasant conditions, do not be lazy at the price.

Conclusion

You can envy the European prices for air tickets, I don’t take a lot of things with me and 7 kg of hand luggage is enough. Even if you fly with your luggage, a pre-planned trip will not hit your pocket. But with a limited budget and a trip planned in no more than a month, I advise you to consider the option of travel by train.

There are no other travel options on this route. The bus ride includes several transfers, and the journey takes about a day.
