Excursion from vietnam to kuala lumpur. Cheap flights from Kuala Lumpur to Vietnam (KUL - VN)

A review article on how much a visor from Nha Trang (or Ho Chi Minh) to Kuala Lumpur will cost, how much time it will take, how much better than a ground visor to Cambodia, how to buy tickets, etc. This article is more likely for beginners. If you have already flown around Asia more than once, then throw your tips and life hacks into comments and make life easier for beginner travelers :)

Why we chose Visaran in Kuala Lumpur

  • A huge number of airline companies fly from Vietnam to Malaysia, flights are frequent, tickets are cheap.
  • Vizaran can be done in 1 day: flew away in the morning, day or evening already returned.
  • There are no lines and bribery as if you choose a ground visor to Cambodia.
  • The Cambodian visa takes a whole page, and the Malaysian stamp is 1/8 page. If you plan to hang around the world for a long time, then I advise you to start saving pages in your passport now. Well, or order a second abroad.

We bought tickets in advance. and a couple of days later a notification of appetizing ticket prices for Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) - Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) arrived in the mail. Then we quickly took the rest of the tickets and began to wait for the time of the visor.

So, the final ticket prices for 1 person:

  • Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City: Dong 700,000
  • Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang: 700,000 dong
  • Ho Chi Minh City - Kuala Lumpur - 466,000 Dong
  • Kuala Lumpur - Ho Chi Minh City - 977,000 dong

A couple of lights for beginners:

  • Take tickets with a connection of at least 3.5 - 4 hours, as Asian airlines often delay their flights for 30-40 minutes.
  • When buying tickets of some airlines, the commission fee for payment through a card is also added to the usual amount. Applied 100,000 dong per person in one direction.
  • If you fly without baggage, don’t want to order food on a plane and don’t want to choose places to sit in advance, then make sure that you don’t get money for this when buying tickets (remove the checkmarks).

Our visaran took less than 1 day: in the morning we flew to Ho Chi Minh City, in the afternoon to Kuala Lumpur, in the evening we returned to Ho Chi Minh City. 3 flights in 1 day is not as difficult as it might seem if you have laptops with you and if the airports have normal Wi-Fi. So we both worked and had fun, and slept right on airplanes.

Instead of output

Staying in Vietnam for a long time is very convenient: once every 3 months you travel to neighboring countries for a visor, and voila, you are again waiting for 3 months of a happy life under the bright Vietnamese sun :) Where can I fly from Vietnam except

When an ordinary vacationer flies home from a vacation in Vietnam, tears in his eyes may appear. And when we leave Vietnam, the smile does not fall from the lips. So it was all 3 times when we left Vietnam. This time we chose Penang Island in Malaysia as the next item.

Our plane Danang - Kuala Lumpur Airasia, on which we flew yesterday from Vietnam to Malaysia

In the evening they packed, noted that the suitcases and backpacks had lost weight during this time, like us.

In the morning, jumping into a taxi, we looked out the window at. We have already heard such familiar sounds of a construction site, a couple of times a taxi driver tried to cut off a motobike, 100 times someone muttered, local cafes in the early morning were already filled with Vietnamese drinking their favorite yellowish gulls.

Da Nang Airport

Da Nang Airport also threw a couple of points onto the track into the piggy bank. It is small and cramped, like everything in Vietnam. Even the airport is under construction, erecting a second terminal. The line for international flights seemed endless and occupied almost half of the airport.

Da Nang Airport. The line for international flights consists of 90% of the Chinese and Koreans

Surprised that the inside of the airport is dirty. Takaranov was seen a couple of times in the waiting room and in the toilet. It’s also stuffy at Da Nang airport. Perhaps the air conditioners are too tiny and can not cope. Or maybe the Vietnamese save on electricity, as we noticed in the shopping centers of Nha Trang. The airport in Da Nang is the first airport in our memory where such a useless air conditioning system. Usually at airports it is so cold that even in a sweatshirt with a hood it’s chilly - I remember the coldest Don Muang airport in Bangkok.

Danang Airport Duty Free

Duty Free at Da Nang Airport is. We really counted on the deutsche. But he disappointed. Duty free is only one and it is quite small and cramped, the boxes are lying around at the feet. The choice of alcohol is modest; there are not even drinks like Jack Daniels and Bailey's. I wanted to buy a perfume, but I saw only two new items, so I didn’t choose anything.

Currency Exchange at Da Nang Airport

In a small waiting room there are 2 exchangers where you can exchange the remaining dongs for dollars or euros. We have a little more than 2 million dong left, which we exchanged for $ 100 at the normal rate of 22900. Changed here in that blue exchanger, which is visible on the right in the photo:

Where to order a transfer from the airport?

We use the service - KiwiTaxi
They ordered a taxi online, paid with a card. At the airport we were greeted with a sign with our name. Drove to the hotel in a comfortable car. We have already talked about your experience in this article

Here is such a small hall for international flights at Da Nang airport

Danang - Kuala Lumpur

The flight was successful, flew without delay. Turned over the city and looked down on. Flew by. Once again they saw the old city from the porthole. And then cloudiness appeared and the Vietnamese land disappeared from sight.

They flew unusually long. Almost 3 hours. For a long time we did not fly for so many hours. Usually an hour, and you are already in another country. But when you are happy, time no longer plays a role.

Lunch on board

When buying tickets on the website of Asia, we ordered lunch. Some people always really want to eat at the airports. Lunch cost about $ 3 per person. Took fried rice with Briani chicken and shrimp in curry. It was small but tasty, almost like in an Indian restaurant.

The Vietnamese did their best to spoil our mood

Judging by the untidy appearance, the Vietnamese flying in this direction decided to annoy us in the end. Pulling out their bales, they dropped the laptop bag from the luggage rack! This is how you had to try ... None of them, of course, even thought to apologize. We were very lucky that the laptops did not crash ...

Another meeting with the Vietnamese was in the toilet of Kuala Lumpur, where civilized people of different nationalities stood in line, and the Vietnamese aunt tried, as is customary in Vietnam, to stand in front of everyone without a queue. The Malay women behind were indignant and made a remark, as a delinquent child, that they had to go in the order of priority.

A few more times we watched the Vietnamese trying to get out of turn at the passport control. Some succeeded, others were commented by foreigners and they shyly retreated.

We are in Malaysia!

Having received Malay stamps and caught our suitcases on the conveyor, we finally lost sight of all the flights from our flight and found ourselves in the company of cultured people. People who know the rules of etiquette, people where if a person needs to go forward, he will apologize and smile, and not wedge, pushing you shoulders. After Vietnam, it is priceless to be in such a society! As you know, we have suffered in Vietnam, but there was something good in this country, which we recently wrote in an article. That's all, not a word more about Vietnam!

  Kuala-Lumpur airport KLIA

Kuala Lumpur Airport and transfer to Penang

We bought tickets separately on the website of Asia. Danang - KL and KL - Penang. It so happened cheaper by $ 30. They put 3 hours on the transplant. This time was quite enough, not a lot and not a little.

Kuala Lumpur Airport has ATM machines.  It is easier and more profitable to withdraw money from a card than to change it. Near the conveyors, Maybank was spotted, at the ATM of which they successfully withdrew money.

At first we wanted to stay in our beloved KL for a couple of days. We used to write,. But then they decided that it would be more convenient for us to immediately fly to the island, and then to go to the KL light if desired.

At the exit from the airport, they bought a Hotlink sim card for 20 ringit ($ 5).  10 ringit for a sim card and the same amount per account. We do not use the Internet on mobile phones, so I won’t say exactly how many GB there are. Sellers speak excellent English.

Transfer to the domestic flight Kuala Lumpur - Penang in the same building on the 3rd floor.  We searched for the Domestic departure sign, did not find it, asked at the information desk. It turned out internal flights in sectors K and J in the common room. You need to get a boarding pass and check in your luggage at the S counters, which are opposite the entrance to the halls K and J.

The plane flew to Penang late 30 minutes. Flew only 30-35 minutes. Now this is the fastest flight for all the time of our travels. It used to be, which takes no more than 50 minutes. At 9 pm, we already landed on Penang.

Taxi from Penang Airport to Georgetown

They took a taxi from the airport using the prepaid system. We paid in cash at the counter and received a ticket. To our area in Georgetown paid 47 ringit ($ 12). On the way, we looked at the evening Penang. They laughed. Georgetown off the track is very reminiscent of Moscow. It’s like you’re driving along the Moscow Ring Road, and outside the high-rise building

The daytime photo is not so similar, but there is still something.

This morning in Penang it is cloudy, occasionally rain

They settled in and immediately went outside to look for some cafe. Weaned from civilization and free sidewalks. The first time we ate at Subway. It turned out delicious sandwiches!

A new stage in our life and travel has already begun!
