Recently, many of my acquaintances and friends have begun to open many beautiful places for recreation not abroad, but in Russia. I was no exception and my choice fell on the Crimea. Why?
Firstly, proximity to Moscow, a few hours and we are there.
Secondly, the prices for flights and accommodation are much lower than those abroad.
And thirdly no time difference and pleasant climate.
To my great regret, the Drop of the Sea hotel in Peschanoe did not live up to expectations and hopes.
And so about everything in order:
I’ll start with our arrival, back in Moscow I ordered a transfer at the hotel and theoretically the driver was supposed to meet us at the airport and take us to the hotel. This service costs 2,000 rubles. travel time approximately 1 hour. Everything went wrong from the very beginning, the driver called me 5 times on the eve of departure, clarifying some small details, strictly told me to warn about the delay, etc. He ended up being 30 minutes late. In addition, he did not meet at the airport, but directed us by phone to look for his car in the parking lot. I consider such a careless attitude to work as a minus for both the hotel and the driver.
The cost of rest for 10 days with 3 meals a day was about62 000 rub.(excluding airfare). The room was standard. The price also included the use of the pool, beach, sun loungers and beach towels.
The hotel is a small three-story, rooms overlooking the sea and the pool. The lobby of the hotel is quite stylish, which I can not say about the rooms. The room was very disappointing. The room has 2 beds, air conditioning, refrigerator, wardrobe, safe, a bunch of bedside tables and drawers and a TV. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet.
What I didn't like about the room:
- Television. It is extremely small, I understand everything, but it's 2016 in the yard
- No kettle. On the ground floor there is something like a kettle-thermos with boiling water. That is, if you live on the third floor, then in the evenings or early in the morning in a negligee you have to overcome a couple of floors and long corridors to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee?
- The shower cabin… is leaking, literally. Communicating with vacationers, I realized that many had such a problem. As they say, love to swim, love and clean (there was water on the floor of the bathroom)
- The same goes for the shower stall. We look at the photo ....
Yes, it's mold and limescale. In general, this is not something that is unpleasant, it is not conceivable for a hotel where (WARNING) are cleaned every day; - Poor cleaning of the room, as can be seen from the state of the bathroom. This also applies to dust on furniture and dirty floors. The first 2-3 days were relatively clean, but then every time they tried less and less;
- Thin curtains, you can not curtain, because the room will always be as bright as day from the internal lighting by the pool. Well, early in the morning.
- The walls are so thin that you can easily hear what is being said behind the wall. And there are many more sounds such as snoring or moaning of a young couple in the middle of the night.
- No drinking water dispensers on the floor. The theme of water at the hotel is problematic. There are two options here either to buy or pour boiled in the dining room. And there is a third, but not safe, there is a spring near the hotel and many pour it there, but there will be nowhere to boil it, so I do not advise.
- All the furniture in the room is already rather outdated and shabby as well as the bed linen.
- Wi-fi is free and unlimited, but it is not stable and slow.
- A large crowd of vacationers and a line in front of the dining room door. Why? It's simple: if you are late, then a lot of food can no longer be caught.
- Big shortage of SOUR CREAM. I don’t understand why, they always put it on the bottom in a small bowl, and then everyone stood and waited for them to take out more, then everything was repeated several times. It is very strange!!!
- No sweets or pastries at all. For 10 days I saw pancakes in the EVENING and twice a small amount of cookies and waffles.
- Old crockery and often chipped around the edges. I don't know why they don't recycle it.
- There is a shortage of teaspoons, there are only about 10-15 of them !!! Moreover, they are all different-sized, so to speak ... Is it really so difficult to get them bigger and the same ???

The hotel is not big, I would say that it is not. There is nowhere to walk, for children there is a playroom and a playground, but they are quite small. There are benches everywhere, little greenery, meager flower beds with scattered shrubs.
Beach
The hotel has its own beach with sun loungers and a canopy from the sun, I read many in the reviews that thanks to this the water is clean. No matter how it is ... to the right and left are huge public beaches, chock-full of people. Water is common.
The beach is spacious, there are enough sun loungers for everyone.
There is a toilet, it is clean and comfortable, changing cabins and a shower. I did not like the shower, because the water is cold and the wall, which is tiled, is covered in mold and some kind of slime. By the way, they washed it on the last day of my stay at the hotel. In front of the entrance to the beach, there are guards who are watching so that outsiders do not enter the territory. Vacationers have white and identical towels. BUT repeatedly observed in the afternoon strangers with towels not from the hotel, who with great pleasure ate melons and watermelons, cutting them on sun loungers and drinking strong drinks. Here is a question for both security and the hotel administration ....
Entertainment
They don't exist... It was the end of the season and I didn't even see children's animation. The on-site café serves coffee, soft drinks or alcoholic drinks for a fee. In the evening there is also music and a children's disco (maximum 10-15 min.)
NUTRITION
The dining room menu is simple but tasty. All products are fresh and in my opinion the cooks are trying. These are vegetables, fresh salads, first courses, hot dishes and side dishes. Everything seems to be fine, but here too it was not without problems:
I really liked the girls who work in the dining room. They are great fellows, polite, well-groomed and diligent. Also the receptionists. During my vacation there were three of them and they are great professionals in their field.
We rested in the velvet season in late August and early September. Therefore, the weather was very comfortable. I also liked the climate.
But I won’t come to the hotel for the second time, there are too many shortcomings and minuses for the money.
