Yalta unknown sights. What is worth seeing in Yalta? The main resort areas

TOURIST RESPONSES:

Yalta is the heart of Crimea. All who are going to the shores of the Black Sea, first of all remember about it. Someone claims that the sea is dirty, prices are high, there is no service, but someone really likes Yalta. In fact, now you can find fault with any popular resort, and the nature of Crimea, as it was, remains one of the most chic and healing. By the way, Yalta is very fond of foreigners, it is here that you can hear foreign speech most often. Although few local people speak English. In addition to beach holidays, nature, in Yalta, a lot of things you can see. The potential in this regard at this resort is very large. I will tell you more about the most interesting places in more detail, but I’m more than sure that you have heard about them or seen with your own eyes more than once.

What is worth seeing in Yalta.

  • bird home  - this mini-castle is known to almost everyone, it does not matter whether they saw it personally or not. He is a real symbol and star of Yalta. In Soviet times, the Swallow's Nest did not fall into more than one film, this is not surprising, the architecture of this building is so unique and beautiful that you can not get enough of its charm. In the season, there are a lot of tourists. Today, an Italian restaurant is located inside the mini-castle; usually there are very few people in it, since it is expensive. However, you can not order food here, but drink for example a cup of aromatic coffee, tea or wine, and sit enjoying the gorgeous views.

  • Park of the Vorontsov Palace  - a very beautiful place, the park occupies a very large territory, in addition to flowers, shrubs, trees, there are fountains, picturesque alleys, waterfalls. Having come here, be sure to bring a camera and a camera with you, you will get great pictures for memory. The park itself consists of two tiers: the upper and lower. The lower one belongs to the strip of the sea, from where the view of Mount Ai-Petri opens, the upper tier is a walking area. The German gardener K. Kebach worked on all this beauty at one time, it took him a lot of time, about a quarter of a century.

  • Mount Ai-Petri - the height of the mountain is about 1200 meters. At the very top is an observation deck, it offers insanely beautiful views. Climbing up here by cable car, you can sit in a cafe, drink hot warming tea, order something hot from food and enjoy the beauties. It makes sense to take a windbreaker with you, because you can feel the temperature contrast very quickly. You can get to Mount Ai-Petri from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Embankment them. Lenin  - The pedestrian zone of Yalta, one of the most popular places among tourists, both in the afternoon and in the evening. On the waterfront there are a large number of restaurants, cafes, shops of various companies, expensive boutiques. Basically, walkers like to walk here, look at the sea and take memorable pictures.

  • Zoo "Fairy Tale"  - This zoo is private. There are about 600 animals. They always look very well-groomed and happy. Anyone who wants can buy special food for and feed a specially liked animal at the entrance to the zoo. You can even go to some animals in a cage and feed them with your hands, stroke them. This zoo has an amazing cafe, it is located directly above the aviary with wild tigers, the highlight of it is that the floor is completely transparent. Not everyone can go here for a bite to eat.

The zoo is open every day from 09 a.m. to 8 p.m. The ticket price for an adult is 500 rubles, for children - 250 rubles.

  • Water Park "Blue Bay"  - in this water park only sea water is used, this is its distinguishing feature. In the season of course, as elsewhere, there are large lines. The slides here are designed for both adults and children. The most extreme is the Kamikaze - the height is like an 8-story house and the Anaconda is very long with all kinds of loops.

Hours of the water park: daily from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. The cost of admission for an adult is 500 rubles, for children - 300 rubles.

  • Winery "Massandra" - famous wines of the Massandra brand are made here. Every tourist who came to rest in Yalta is simply obliged to visit this winery. In addition to the tasting room and company store, where you can directly buy your favorite wine, there is a winemaking museum where you can see how the wine is made and with what. The tour is very interesting, you can come here, both independently and with a tour group. The winery is open every day from 10-00 to 20-00.

  • Cableway Miskhor - Ai-Petri  - I advise fans to tickle their nerves a little on this cable car, in my opinion it is quite dangerous. Sitting inside and rising to the highest point to Ai-Petri, at some point it starts to take your breath away and thoughts come into your head, what if ... The cable car runs every day from 09 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of a one-way ticket for an adult is 180 rubles, for children - 90 rubles.

  • Livadia Palace  - a very beautiful building, I would call it a work of art, the guide will tell about his many years of history on the spot. The palace was built in the Art Nouveau style, for this purpose the architect Krasnov was specially invited, who for a long time could not decide on the project. Nevertheless, seeing the end result, you are amazed at the beauty and wonder why such buildings are no longer being built. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., closed on Wednesday. Entrance ticket price for an adult is 160 rubles, for a child - 75 rubles.

Big Yalta is such a number of attractions that, probably, there will not be enough life to see them all. After all, the villages of Livadia, Miskhor, Gaspra, Foros, Simeiz, Koreiz, Nikita, Ai-Danil, Gurzuf, Partenit, the city of Alupka belong to Big Yalta ... This is a fairly large territory!

If you go to Gurzuf, then you should definitely go to the Pushkin Museum, see Chekhov's “White Cottage”, visit the Korovin’s House of Creativity, not to mention amazing natural sights.

In Livadia you can visit not only the Livadia Palace itself - the residence of the last Russian Tsar and the park adjacent to it, but also see the recently opened monument in honor of the Yalta Conference of 1945 - figures of the leaders of the "Big Three" Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill, as well as go to the museum of artist Mikhail Pugovkin.

In Miskhor and Simeiz you can see centuries-old trees and tropical plants in parks - monuments of landscape gardening art. Well, and in Nikita - the pearl of the South Coast, visit the botanical garden, which delights visitors with exotic flowers and unique trees.

You can climb to the top of Ai-Petri Mountain, see the waterfalls and see the whole of Yalta, as if in the palm of your hand, from a height from the cable car.

And Alupka, with its Gothic Vorontsov Palace and magnificent garden, will conquer even the most spoiled tourist.

To be in Yalta and not to visit the Swallow’s Nest castle - this means not to see Yalta, because this is an original building - a visiting card of the South Coast of Crimea.

But even without leaving Yalta, that is, in the city itself you can see a lot of interesting things. Even just walking around the city, it is impossible not to get to some memorable place or attraction. Monuments to the poetess Lesya Ukrainka (on Yekaterininskaya Street), Pushkin and the filmmaker Alexander Khanzhonkov, (on Pushkinskaya), writer and screenwriter Julian Semenov (at the Oreanda hotel), composition "Lady with a Dog and Chekhov" (on Naberezhnaya).

And how many famous people lived here - you can just walk around the city and study the places where great or popular writers, actors, singers lived! ..

You should definitely go to the Chekhov Theater.

This is an old, restored, magnificent building with a cozy hall, with traditions just a Mecca for all theatergoers. Unfortunately, the Yalta Theater does not have its own troupe, but collectives, famous Moscow theaters, theaters of Sevastopol and Simferopol, popular actors, and musicians constantly tour here. It hosts international competitions festivals, including the famous "Theater. Chekhov. Yalta", "Theater. Debut. Yalta" and

"Folk Without Borders". The theater is located in the very center of Naberezhnaya, in a very beautiful place, the hall is almost never empty, and in the season every day there are performances or concerts. Tickets cost from 150 rubles.

Concerts of stars - performances by pop singers, KVN, are held in Yalta in the Yubileiny concert hall, which is located near the Chekhov Theater, in the Black Sea Lane.

Fans of Russian literature will be very interested in visiting Chekhov’s house - a favorite place of Anton Pavlovich’s fans. Chekhov was in love with Crimea and spent his last years of his life in Yalta, he wrote many stories and plays here. The museum is located in a picturesque garden, the house itself has nine rooms that can be visited by tourists. conferences, exhibitions, concerts, Chekhov readings, music evenings are held here.

The museum is open every day, except Mondays and Tuesdays, and in summer it is closed only on Mondays. Opening hours from 10.00 to 17.00. On Wednesdays, the museum is open until 20.00. The museum is located at 112 Kirova, it can be reached on foot from the city center, but it is still better to get there by transport - by trolleybus number 1 to the Pionerskaya stop or by bus number 8 to the stop Chekhov's House-Museum.

If you came to Yalta with children, then you will not be bored. there are a lot of entertainments for children in Yalta and there is also something to see.

A trip to the famous Glade of Fairy Tales will surely take you a whole day, and then you will want to come back here more than once. This is a unique open-air fairy tale museum at the foot of Stavri-Kai, where you can visit the living Baba Yaga, visit the kingdom of crooked mirrors, meet many fairy-tale characters, watch cartoons. "Glade of fairy tales" works seven days a week, from 9.00 to 17.30. Travel by bus No. 115/26, 102/27 (from the bus station to the stop. "Glade of fairy tales")

and minibus number 24 (from the stop. "Spartak" to the final)

Ticket price:

adult (children from 12 years old) - 200 rubles.

children (from 6 to 11 years old) - 100 rubles.

children under 6 years old - free of charge.

You can also visit the Sea Aquarium and the Aquatoria Sea Animal Theater with your children, but I personally think that this is a dubious pleasure. Animals should live in their natural habitat, in wildlife, and not somersault in chlorinated water for the public's needs.

But the famous Yalta Zoo "Fairy Tale" is probably worth a visit. This is not at all like a prison for animals, it is a corner where animals live in conditions close to natural. They really love animals here, take care of them, investing their souls and energy, they are allowed to feed animals, and on the “Grandma’s courtyard” you can even chat with our smaller brothers in the immediate vicinity, because this part is the so-called contact zoo. You can get to the “Fairy Tale” by shuttle vans No. 24, 115, 102. In the summer, the zoo is open from 9:00 to 20:00, in winter: from 9:00 to 17:00. Ticket price: Adult - 500 rubles, children - 250 rubles.

In a word, in Yalta, both adults and children will always find an interesting lesson. Here at any time of the year you will get bored!

Arriving for a vacation in Yalta, you can, of course, spend the whole vacation on the beach. However, this will be simply blasphemy in relation to local attractions. What to see in Yalta? By the way, speaking, Big Yalta is not just a city, but rather a common name that combines a number of cities and towns on the southern coast of Crimea. These are Massandra, Livadia, Oreanda, Gurzuf, Miskhor, Gaspra, Koreiz, Alupka, Simeiz, Foros. I present to your attention a hit parade of places that cannot be ignored while in the Crimea:

  • Swallow's Nest. I propose unconditionally to give the palm to the mysterious castle on the cliff. "Swallow's Nest" is the number one tourist attraction in Ukraine. Is it a joke that a real medieval knight's castle is located on a steep cliff, 40 meters above the sea? The castle has a restaurant where you can dine while admiring the panorama of the Black Sea. You can get to the Swallow's Nest by bus from the Yalta bus station, or you can also take a pleasure boat from one of the berths.

  • Small rolled road. From the center of Yalta you can climb the Darsan hill in the cozy trailers of a small rolled road. A short trip will not take much time, because it will allow you to admire the beautiful views of the resort town and the ships scurrying in the Black Sea.

  • Large cableway "Miskhor Ai-Petri". The cable car with a length of almost 3 kilometers in 15 minutes with one change will take you to a height of 1153 meters above the level. The view of the entire Black Sea coast of Crimea certainly will not leave anyone indifferent. You can have lunch on the outdoor terrace of the restaurant, which is located right next to the cable car. Delicious barbecue and wine under the amazing scenery, what could be better? It can be windy upstairs, so be sure to bring your windbreaker with you. If you are planning to take a ride on a large cable car, be patient, a long queue at the ticket office is possible. You can get down from Ai-Petri mountain by minibus or taxi. Ai - Petrinskaya highway is an entertaining serpentine, and as one Yalta driver claimed, it makes a 101 turn of 180 degrees.

  • Nikitsky Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden is a well-groomed area, filled with many different exotic plants and rare relict trees, and is divided into upper and lower parks. Special attention should be paid to the cactus greenhouse and bamboo grove. In addition, seasonal exhibitions and expositions are held in the park. This place is ideal for collecting herbarium photos with children.

  • Massandra To visit Crimea and not see with your own eyes the heart of the Crimean winemaking Massandra will be simply blasphemy. Today, for all comers, the tasting complex of the Massandra enterprise, known far beyond Ukraine, has opened its doors, offering a fascinating tour of the winery, a visit to the cellar gallery, an introduction to the wine making process and, of course, tasting. Being in Massandra do not forget to visit the palace of Emperor Alexander III, it is very notable for its architecture. Now a museum is located on the territory of the palace, and enthusiastic guides willingly take excursions to the former imperial chambers.

  • Zoo and Museum "Glade of Fairy Tales" If you travel with children, take a look at the biggest fairy tale zoo on the coast, it is located at the foot of the Stavri-Kaya Mountain and is adjacent to an interesting open-air museum. In the open meadow there are sculptures from childhood of all the familiar characters of fairy tales. The museum is called “Glade of Fairy Tales”.

  • Trolleybus line Yalta-Sevastopol. Have you ever rode a long-distance trolley bus? If not, then be sure to ride along the longest trolleybus route in the world from Yalta to Simferopol. Although the route is over 70 kilometers long, it’s hard to get bored on the way. Pictures changing outside the window along the mountain line are pleasing to the eye.

  • Cave cities. On the inner ridge of the Crimean mountains there are 14 medieval cave cities. The most popular among tourists are Chufut Kale, Mangup Kale and Eski - Kermen. Each of them is beautiful in its own way, but from the point of view of entertainment Eski - Kermen is a leader. This ancient city is extremely unusual, preserved from ancient times, the system of the pit ground storage gives the impression of unreality. By the way, it was here that one of the episodes of the film of Fedor Bondarchuk "9 companies" was shot.

I will stop here. Of course, everyone who has visited the Crimea will surely find something to add to the above list, because this is a land favorable for tourists, where there is entertainment for every taste. You just have to choose for yourself the most attractive objects to visit and decide to join the tour or explore the sights on your own.

Yalta is the most famous resort of Crimea and a beautiful city on the southern coast of the peninsula. On the one hand it is surrounded by high mountains, on the other hand - the Black Sea. If in the tourist season life in Yalta is in full swing and crowds of tourists are walking along the promenade, then in winter this place becomes cozy and calm. Residents of Simferopol and Sevastopol come here for a walk. And someone even goes for the winter to meet the dawn at sea every day.

One day

There are so many attractions in Yalta that your eyes run up from such a variety. If you arrived at the South Coast for one day, then do not overestimate the number of hours in a day and your capabilities. I propose to focus on feeling the atmosphere of the city, taking plenty of walks and setting out a plan for your next visit.

So, what can you do in time and see in one day in Yalta? Of course, take a walk along the Lenin embankment, see enough of yachts, expensive shops and tourists, Vladimir Ilyich in palm trees with mountains in the background, gulls and listen to where this time the ship goes for a boat trip.

Then you can turn into one of the streets and go for a walk in the cozy center with small houses twined with grapes and other plants unknown to the mainland tourist, old villas and hotels, narrow streets with palm trees.

Another mandatory item of the one-day program in Yalta is travel by cable car. View the city from a height - what could be more beautiful!

Even if you don’t like museums, the house-museum of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov is still worth a visit. Find out why the writer moved to Yalta, how he lived, what he managed to write during this period and why he bought a summer house in Gurzuf.

Take a walk on Massandra beach, and in the summer swim. This place was reconstructed several years ago and now it looks fashionable and modern, there are various cafes and restaurants, as well as lovely souvenir shops.

Three days

Undoubtedly, the main attractions of Big Yalta are considered to be Massandra, Vorontsov and Livadia. You can see everything at once in one day if you go with a bus tour or in your own car. But I advise you to choose one so that there is no overdose of impressions and cereal in the head.

The Vorontsov Palace in Alupka with its architecture resembles English castles. It is well inscribed in the surrounding landscape; it looks especially wonderful against the backdrop of Mount Ai-Petri. I love not so much the interior of the palace as a large park with waterfalls, lakes and a descent to the sea.

The Livadia Palace is known for hosting the Yalta Conference after the Second World War. Churchill lived in it and held meetings with Stalin and Roosevelt. The ground floor is dedicated to this event; the second floor tells about the life of the imperial family, who loved to relax in this place. By the way, from the Livadia Palace the famous Solar Path begins, along which Alexander III walked. Now it is not as impressive in views as it was a hundred years ago, but still there are several equipped viewing platforms, from one of which Yalta is also visible.

Massandra Palace is the smallest. None of the imperial family has ever stayed in it; there is almost nothing to look inside (especially if you like the Hermitage, the Tsarskoye Selo Palace and the like). But the small park is quite picturesque, especially in foggy weather, when the palace itself and the mountains resemble the scenery of a Gothic film.

A visit to one of the Yalta palaces can be combined with a boat trip to the Swallow's Nest. This building is the hallmark of the Crimea and South Coast and looks great from the water. The building in its present form was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The earthquake of 1927 became crucial for him: part of the garden collapsed into the sea, a viewing platform hung over the cliff. In the early 2000s there was an Italian restaurant, now there is a museum.

Another day worth spending on visiting. You can climb it by cable car, one of the flights of which is the longest unsupported in Europe, and go down by minibus through the Wuchang-Su waterfall. Previously, various activities were offered at the top: from delicious dishes of Crimean Tatar cuisine and local wine to horseback riding, camel riding and ATVs. However, in May 2017, by order of the leadership of the republic, the demolition of cafes and restaurants began. What will be in their place is not yet known exactly. An obligatory point of visiting Ai-Petri is to climb a simple path to the Jags. There are also three caves on the plateau: Three-Eye, Geophysical and Yalta.

A week

Even a week is not enough to see all the sights of Yalta, but if you wish, you can try to visit everything to the maximum. Families with children can go to the Glade of Fairy Tales zoo, where you can feed animals, however, only with special food, which is sold at the entrance. Flora lovers are advised to visit, where at any time of the year, even in winter, there is something to see. The best time to visit is spring. April opens with a parade of tulips, then irises, roses, clematis and other flowers bloom.

Do you like to be on different? Then it's time to go to the Massandra winery, listen to a fascinating tour of the wine cellars and try the classic Massandra wines.

Those who want to spend more time in Yalta itself and explore every corner of it, should look into the Catholic church on Pushkinskaya for an organ concert, sit on a stone bench near the Armenian Church, find a 19th-century mansion on the territory of Happy Hotel and take a walk down Sverdlov Street from top to bottom to see the Mordvinov Palace and a few more old villas.

There are many different villages in Big Yalta, two of which are worth a separate discussion. In Simeiz, you need to get out for a day for leisurely walks through the streets and explore villas at the beginning of the 20th century, climb the Diva rock, which participated in the filming of the movie by Agatha Christie's “12 Little Indians”, and also mandatory swimming on the local beach. Gurzuf also takes time to enjoy calmness, to count all the cats and cats, to look into the Pushkin Museum and Chekhov’s dacha, take a swim on the beach and in the bay near the Chekhov’s house, where Anton Pavlovich himself once swam, watch enough, get on excursion to "Artek" and happy to go back to Yalta.

If you are a girl and very tired of the race to museums and other beautiful sights, then one day in Yalta can be devoted to yourself and only to yourself. And that means going to the Spa. For example, at the Opera Opera Prima in Seaside Park or at Mriya Resort & Spa.

If you still have doubts about how to organize your acquaintance with Yalta and its environs, then you can order from me.

Yalta  - the most popular and prestigious resort on the coast of Crimea. The southern coast of Crimea, praised in many works of art, attracts tourists and vacationers from all countries of the former USSR. The main resort city of the Southern coast of Crimea remains Yalta.

Yalta on the map

You can spend more than one week to explore the many attractions of Yalta and its environs.

History

The history of Yalta, as a human settlement, began yet bC. Initially, there was a colony of ancient Greeks, which later became a Byzantine settlement. Later, the city became a Genoese colony, and then became part of the Crimean Khanate.

After the conquest of Crimea by the Russian Empire, the settlement became part of it, and since 1838 it received the status of a city.

From now on, Yalta becomes resort townattracting vacationers from all over the country.

The main resort areas

Big Yalta includes many towns and villages belonging to various resort areas:

  1. The city itself Yalta;
  2. Village Massandra;
  3. Gurzuf;
  4. Simeiz  and Katsiveli;
  5. Foros;
  6. Gaspra  and Mishor;
  7. Alupka;
  8. Livadia  and Oreanda.
