Friends often come to me with a request to plan a travel route. This time friends want to Amsterdam.

I must say right away that we are all Petersburgers and that St. Petersburg will be the starting point. It happens that flying from St. Petersburg to Amsterdam is cheap via Riga, but friends want to go in early May, and there already high prices, less than 10-12 thousand will not meet, and therefore I began to look for workarounds. Yes, and 16 hour stops in Riga at night are not at all encouraging.

So, there is such a low-cost airline Ryanair and it flies from Lappeenranta and Tallinn to Germany. First, I’ll tell you about the route from Lappeenranta.

From Lappeenranta you can fly to Düsseldorf, or rather to the city of Weeze in Germany. The ticket price varies depending on the date, but the minimum price is 30-40 euros.

Minibuses from Weeze Airport every 2 hours go to the city of Nijmegen, which is already in the Netherlands. The transfer price is 18 euros. Then in Nijmegen you can catch a high-speed train and get to Amsterdam

The price of a transfer from St. Petersburg to Lappeenranto Airport depends on the transport company, but on average 1000-1200 rubles. In the link I indicated the site is a directory of companies where you can visually see the prices.

Now about Tallinn.

From Tallinn, the profit will fly to Bremen or also to Weeze. About the second option, I have already described above, so let's stop at Bremen.

German trains run from Bremen directly to Amsterdam! If you buy tickets in advance on the Internet, then save significantly. It is worth noting that you must buy tickets with your credit card, or the person who bought the tickets should be in close proximity to you. The credit card can be checked by the controller. At the moment, the price of a train ticket is from 29 euros.

You can see tickets to Tallinn on the luxexpress website. Note that there are two types of buses - Lux and Simple. Comfort on the road is significantly different. In the Suite there is a coffee machine and wifi, which is important for me personally)) Sometimes there are sales for luxury buses, but at the moment there are none, and therefore we will go by simplicity for 650 rubles.

In total, the entire road will cost you 6-8 thousand round-trip, depending on the dates, city of departure and arrival.

And in Amsterdam, starting in May, prices for hotels and hostels increase by a factor of 3. Therefore, I advise you to use airbnb. Now I have booked accommodation for 30 tr for three people for 10 days, for comparison you can see prices, for example, on booking.com and you will see prices that are completely pleasing to the eye (we are talking about numbers starting in May)

I really hope that advice is useful to someone! PEACE!
